Private Swimming Lessons

My sister Nada Toma and I worked together over the summer as private swimming instructors. We thought kids ages 6 to 13. Because of the pandemic, we could not find work over the summer, instead, we decided to start our own summer project.

We started advertising by creating a flier and advertising it on our neighborhood app, and social media. We also got customers from people telling their friends.

We then started organizing where we are going to teach the kids that did not have a pool. We reach out to a friend that has a community pool and asked if we could use her pool to teach, we were able to do so.

We also created a spreadsheet of our earnings from the lessons to keep track of how much money we earned and how much should be divided between us.

Overall, it was a pretty fun experience and this experience gave me a small glimpse of how to operate a small business, this will definitely help me in the future.
